I look out at the mountains,
pristine with heads held high.
They are beautiful and majestic
as they touch the clear blue sky.
Look closely and see God’s glory
through His creations here on earth.
But nothing compares to the glory
that was seen at the Savior’s birth.
If we want to see the Father,
we must focus on His Son.
For Jesus is the window
to see the Holy One.
Our Father desires our worship
and dwells in our praise.
As we lift our eyes toward heaven,
His power will amaze.
Let us keep the window open
and let God’s Son shine through.
May His light replace any darkness
and radiate through all we do.
So the Word became human and made his home among us. He was full of unfailing love and faithfulness. And we have seen his glory, the glory of the Father’s one and only Son. John 1:14
Sometimes we are so busy living our lives, we forget to stop and just enjoy all of God’s creations. There is such beauty in seeing a sunrise coming over the mountain. The blends of orange, pink and yellow hues come together in a way that only God could orchestrate. It is hard to understand how one cannot believe in God after seeing a sunrise, the delicate design of a flower or a sand dollar.
They know the truth about God because he has made it obvious to them. For ever since the world was created, people have seen the earth and sky. Through everything God made, they can clearly see his invisible qualities – his eternal power and divine nature. So they have no excuse for not knowing God. Romans 1: 19-20
God wants us to have relationship, fellowship and intimacy with Him. He desires our praise, adoration and love, and wants to be our best friend. We often come to Him in prayer with our wants and needs as our priority. We want answers to our prayers quickly and stress about how we can meet our own needs. If only we could “let go and let God” take care of us. It is only when we completely make Him our focus that He can supernaturally work on our behalf.
“Seek the kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need.” Matthew 6:33
