Each day we have many distractions
that can lead us to worry and fret.
Our minds are focused on problems
and past decisions leading to regret.
If only we could rest in the Father
and live in the present each day,
He would take all our burdens upon Him
and peace would come our way.
God wants to speak to us daily
and be our closest friend.
He will show us how to be fruitful
and help others’ hearts to mend.
We must try to let go of control
and allow God full rein in our life.
Only then can we truly be restful
and give up all stress and strife.
Prayer has to be a priority,
the most important action of our day.
It gives us that holy connection
and helps keep Satan at bay.
Always be joyful. Never stop praying. Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus. 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
Our lives are so busy and full of distractions these days, we can easily lose focus on what God has planned for us. Spending time in His presence clears our mind so that we can hear and receive direction from Him. Following our own desires and path may give us temporary happiness, but we will miss out on God’s blessings.
The Lord says, “I will guide you along the best pathway for your life. I will advise you and watch over you.” Psalm 32:8
Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take. Proverbs 3:5-6
God has a wonderful, unique plan for us and He is waiting for us to seek Him and be obedient to His Word. It doesn’t matter what we have done in the past, if we sincerely commit our lives to Christ, our past, present and future sins are forgiven. We don’t have to feel unworthy to come before Him, because He accepts us right where we are. Even if we feel we missed out on our calling, it’s never too late to pray for God to reveal his plan. Satan and others may try to deter us from walking in God’s plan or we may be fearful, but God will always equip and enable His children to achieve what He has called them to do. As we allow our faith to rise up, fear will be replaced with boldness.
