Life is filled with many changes-
some welcome and others not.
Change is part of our journey.
Will we travel or stay in one spot?
Each season has its beauty,
like a flower in full bloom- or
like a bride awaiting her wedding
and dreaming of her groom.
God is with us through every season,
even those when we despair.
He gives us hope for the future
when we feel that others don’t care.
There is purpose in each season.
We must choose to see the good.
Our Father will give us wisdom
if we read His Word as we should.
God wants us to enjoy the journey
and have joy in all we do.
He will shower us with His blessings,
and His love will carry us through.
For everything there is a season, a time for every activity under heaven. Ecclesiastes 3:1
What season of your life are you in? Is it a time of uncertainty due to loss of a job, divorce or an unexpected illness? One thing that we can count on, is that change is inevitable. No matter how hard we try to control things in our lives, there will always be surprises along the way. Whether changes are welcome or unwelcome, we can decide how we will respond to them.
The Lord directs the steps of the godly. He delights in every detail of their lives. Though they stumble, they will never fall, for the Lord holds them by the hand. Psalm 37:23-24
God wants to hear from us no matter what season we are in – good or bad. If we trust in Him, He promises to never leave us. Having a joyful attitude in our times of distress seems counterintuitive, but God’s word says He inhabits our praises.
Yet you are holy, enthroned on the praises of Israel. Our ancestors trusted in you, and you rescued them. Psalm 22:3-4
If we believe and follow God’s word, He will help us see the good in every season no matter the situation. He will bring blessings our way as we seek and ask Him to show us His plan, step by step. God’s purpose may be to help someone going through a similar situation who He strategically places in our path. As we allow the Holy Spirit full rein over our life, we will be amazed how much peace and joy we will have.
